Ogun to host 40th National Agriculture Council

The commissioner described the conference as the highest agricultural policy making and implementation body in Nigeria.
The Ogun State Government said it has concluded preparations to host the 40th National Council on Agriculture and Rural Development, scheduled for Monday.
The event will last for five days in Abeokuta, the state capital.
The theme of the five-day conference is “Farm to Fork: Developing Agricultural Value Chains to Create Wealth and Assure National Food Security.”
The State Commissioner for Agriculture, Ronke Somefun, in a statement said it will afford stakeholders the opportunity to deliberate and compare notes on happenings in the agricultural sector.
Ms. Somefun said representatives from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as Permanent Secretaries and Directors of all Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development at the Federal and State levels are expected to be at the conference.
