My Commitment to Even Development Of Ogun is Unwavering-Amosun

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has affirmed that his administration remains unwavering in its commitment to the wholesome socio-economic development of the State. In this wise, he said government would continue to provide essential industrial inputs, give necessary support to the private sector, attract genuine investors and maintain unique position in the industrial, commercial and social life of the nation. Governor Amosun gave the assurance while declaring open the 1st Ago-Iwoye Economic summit held at the Ago-Iwoye city hall.
Represented by his Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, Senator Amosun pledged that his administration would work closely with and encourage communities that have ideas which could stimulate and grow economic wealth. “Let me therefore use this opportunity to invite more local and international investors to partner with us in different areas of our 5 cardinal programmes which is encapsulated in our mission to rebuild.
There are opportunities in all areas : affordable qualitative education, efficient health care delivery, increased agricultural production/industrialisation, affordable housing and urban renewal, rural and infrastructural development / employment Generation”, Amosun said. Senator Amosun noted that the summit was a clear demonstration of the belief of Ago Iwoye people in his administration’s mission to rebuild, adding that it would contribute to the efforts of government towards harnessing the abundant human and natural resources available in the town.
Also speaking, the State Deputy Governor, Prince Segun Adesegun who is an indigene of the town urged the people to engage in agricultural activities as a way of enhancing the socio-economic status of the community, the state and the nation at large. On his part, a former Minister of Commerce, Senator Jubril Martins Kuye said 'given the expansive network of cultivable lands, agriculture and agro-allied industries hold the key to unlocking the economic potentials of Ago-Iwoye as the huge land assets offer very special, unique, specific and enormous comparative economic advantage’. In his remark, the Ebunmawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul Rasaq Adesina Adenugba urged both the internal and external investors to take advantage of the human and natural resources abound in the area to establish their businesses.
