Oliha: Nigeria has lost a hero –Mark

President of the Senate Senator David Mark has described the death of former Super Eagles  midfielder Thompson Oliha as a tragedy to soccer and a loss to the nation.
Mark, in a condolence message Governor Adams Oshiomole of Edo State on the demise of the member of the victorious 1994  Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia, said Nigeria has lost one its soccer heroes.
He noted the exploits of the late soccer star, both as a footballer and coach, saying that Oliha would be remembered for his patriotism and commitment to the ideals of nationhood.
Senator Mark said Oliha would have a pride of place in the history of the Nigerian football as one of those who brought honour and glory to his father land.
He urged the government and people of Edo State, especially the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that the deceased soccer star lived a worthy life and left  a positive imprint on the sand of time.
Senator Mark prayed that God grant the deceased eternal rest, just as he prayed for the family to have the courage and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
